Simpson and Yale graduate Johnson have been linked together since last month but the singer's friends are said to be worried that his feelings aren't genuine.

A friend of Simpson told the Chicago Sun-Times: "I don't care if he's so smart and all that, I get the sense he's more interested in people knowing he's dating Jessica Simpson rather than truly caring about Jess and her needs."Another source insisted that Johnson is a "fame wh*re... the kind of guy who is really into dating famous women". However, a friend of the ex-NFL player argued that Johnson's feelings for Simpson are real. They said: "Bulls**t! That's totally ridiculous and wrong. He is a really good guy and he's as nuts about Jessica as she is about him."

Jessica Simpson Kiss Her New BoyFriend: Singer actress Jessica Simpson reportedly kept kissing her new boyfriend Eric Johnson during a dinner with her mother. Simpson was enjoying a lunch with her mother Tina and friends at Mexican restaurant Dos Caminos in Manhattan when she couldn't keep her hands off her new boyfriend Johnson and kept kissing him during the meal, reports contactmusic.

"He always had a hand on her back, was touching her hair and kissing her head. They made out a few times," said a fellow diner. Simpson and the NFL football player only started dating last month. "She looked super happy. And he was very attentive to her. They looked like they've been dating for ages," said the diner.

He also went to Yale, which is far more surprising to us given who he's dating. Anyway, he's separated from his wife, which we're positive Jessica is aware of. As such, the magazine cover below may be slightly misleading when it implies it has uncovered some sort of scandal. The guy is technically married, however.

Jessica began dating Eric Johnson, who filed for divorce from his wife of five years, Keri, in January, around five weeks ago. They met at her Beverly Hills' home. Friends introduced the tight ends at a party she had."Jess is definitely rushing into this," an insider says, noting they recently went to Jacksonville, Fla., to celebrate Eric's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary!

Legendary ladies’ man Jack Nicholson has still got it at the ripe old age of 73 (or at least he thinks he's still got it). The eager old fella asked ditzy 29-year-old Jessica Simpson out on a date! Jack reportedly called Jess to ask her to join him for an evening together.

Jess, who declined the offer, tells The Sun, "I have no idea how Jack got my number as we've never met. He asked if I wanted to go to his Beverly Hills house for dinner."

It’s no secret that Jack Nicholson likes the ladies, particularly the young ones (he was once linked with “The Practice” star Lara Flynn Boyle).

However, some one-line news has been leaked over the weekend, that the Oscar-winning actor asked Jessica Simpson on a date. There’s been no deeper details other than the rumor that Nicholson put the query out, i.e. we don’t know if he sent a handwritten note to Simpson, if he texted her, if he was a fan of her VH1 show, etc. While Perez Hilton first reported the rumor, Gossip Cop put the cuffs on the blogger:

Simpson, formerly married to 98 degrees member Nick Lachey, talked cryptically about her love life at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, revealing to the magazine that she had ‘some situations she was feeling out’. An eyewitness also spotted the couple together in Washington on the same weekend as the formal dinner, the report tells.

Jessica Simpson wants a “normal” boyfriend. The singer – who has refused to confirm reports she is dating Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan – has admitted she isn’t picky when it comes to men and hopes to settle down with someone who is ordinary. She told In Touch Weekly: “I’m just looking for somebody that’s normal! That’s it!”

However, the 29-year-old beauty’s mother Tina has different ideas and is desperate for the singer-and-actress to meet someone with a good career who will look after her for life. She explained: “A doctor. A businessman. Someone who will take care of me when I’m old. That’s good!”Jessica has gone out of her way to appear “normal” recently, after she posed on the front cover of America’s Marie Claire magazine without any make up on.

Mom Tina Simpson, who joined Jessica at "Good Housekeeping's" 125th anniversary celebration Monday night in New York City, says she would like her daughter to date "whatever man she wants to be with." But agrees, "a doctor -- that'll work! Or a businessman. Someone who will take care of me when I'm old!"

Jessica Simpson says she's "a little bit angry" with ex-boyfriend John Mayer for an interview he gave to Playboy magazine in which he called the singer "sexual napalm."In quotes provided by Harpo Productions, Simpson says on the Wednesday episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that she doesn't want people "to know how I am in bed." In the interview, Mayer talked about Simpson's sexual ability and said Simpson "is like crack cocaine to me."

Simpson also told Winfrey that she is "absolutely" comfortable with her weight and that she loves her curves. The singer says she's "not going to ever be size 0 and I don't want to weigh 90 pounds."
